Local prolife groups

Although Congress passed and the president signed a health care reform law which allows for taxpayer funded abortions (note: a mere executive order does NOT undo law) and rationing of health care, the battle is far from over.  Continue to discuss this in a respectful manner with family and friends, research the issues, write letters to the editor and within blogs and other areas online, and most importantly, pray.  Legislation can be overturned in bits and pieces, being replaced with true health care reform that respects human life from conception to natural death and provides robust conscience protections for those who refuse to participate in abortion, euthanasia, or any other procedure or policy that does not respect life.   The worst thing we can do now is become disheartened and give up.  That is precisely what the other side wants and is hoping we will do.  Don't allow them to win.  We continue to agree completely with Bishop Walter Nickless from Sioux City who said, "No Health Care Reform is better than the wrong health care reform."
